As I posted in my earlier blog about what people don't like about going to the movie theater, the main reason why people don't go is because it costs too much money, especially during a recession. But being a long time movie goer, I have found several tips that I have used, and that you can use as well, in order to stop blowing you your wallet every time you want to venture to the theater.

Reasons People Don't LIke Going To The Movies
I feel that going to the movies is one of the most fun things in the world to do. There is just something about going to the theaters that keeps me coming back over and over and over again. There are some reasons, that I must admit, that tend to keep people away from enjoying such a wonderful experience.

Hollywood's Business Scheme -- What Else Should We Turn Into A Movie?
I really think that Hollywood is really running out of original ideas to make movies out of. Over the past couple of years all I have seen is just an onslaught of movies adapted from other forms of media -- comic books, novels, television shows, and video games-- or movies that are merely remakes of movies that have come out before -- Nightmare on Elm Street, Batman Begins, The Three Musketeers and Footloose. I can't remember the last time that I went to the movie theater and the big blockbuster was an original storyline that I haven't seen before. I can understand why the movie industry is doing this, because there are a lot of material out there that can be made into very good movies (still waiting on a very good video game movie) and they want to update old popular movies using new technologies to appeal to new fans. But there has to be a time when enough is enough. The current remakes that are being made that pop into my head are Judge Dredd, which originally came out in 1995 starring Sylvester Stallone, and Robocop, which came out in 1987 and starred Peter Weller, and those were two very good movies that don't need to be remade and will still be good in future years.

Top 4 Actors That Needs To Stop Acting
Below is a list of actor that I think, while they have all had great careers in acting, need to take a vacation and/or retire from acting because some are getting too old to be doing the same stuff they were 20 years ago. If you can think of any other actors or actresses that I have left out please leave a comment letting me know because I would love to hear your opinion on them as well.

Are We Supposed To See That?
Censorship is probably one of the biggest things that I have a problem with when watching movies on television since censorship in movie theaters doesn't really happen unless it is part of a joke in a movie. Wikipedia defines censorship as the suppression of speech or other public communication which may be considered objectionable, harmful, sensitive, or inconvenient to the general body of people as determined by a government, media outlet, or other controlling body.

To 3D Or Not To 3D
The new trend when making movies is to use new technology to make them into a three dimensional (3D). I personally find the growing trend of making a 3D movie to be quite annoying because it is getting to be that all the movies that are coming out every week is in three dimensions. And I cannot see what the fascination is with making movies in 3D. Here are some reasons why I don't really like 3D movies :

Movie Controversies
1. Movie Industry Running Out of Ideas
One of the main controversies that are being spread around about the movie industry is that they are running out of ideas for new movies. That is the reason why movies based off comics, books, video games and television shows being made instead of new ideas for movies. They are even taking movies that have already been made and remaking them to use newer technology and make them to appeal to a newer audience.

2. Ridiculously High Prices
Every time that I go to a movie theater it seems like the prices are getting more and more expensive. I find myself trying to find a theater that gives student discounts so that I can get into them just a little cheaper. And the prices at the concession stand are even more outrageous than the ticket prices.

3. 3D Movies
3D movies have become the big thing with movies in the past couple of years. From any type of movie being done in 3D -- from Resident Evil: Afterlife and Final Destination 5 to G-Force and Captain America -- it seems like that is the only way that film makers and producers are gearing their movies towards.
